The GED Option #2 Program is a competency based
program designed to allow students in their senior year of high school
to earn their diploma by completing the following program requirements:
- The GED Option #2 Program is a dropout prevention and graduation program for students who are at risk of not graduating from their school of origin. Students must successfully meet program requirements in addition to passing GED tests in the areas of Reasoning through Language Arts, Social Studies, Science and Math. Successful completion of program will result in student earning a high school diploma which will open the doors for military, technical college, universities, or career readiness
- Candidates for GED Option #2 must be at least 17 years of age and be currently enrolled in the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District. Students must be credit deficient and have the ability to read at grade level.
- The Learning Center’s Assessment Team will review all GED Option #2 applications and select students who best fit the criteria as determined by seat availability
